When your next door neighbor asks you to look at the poop she's discovered in her apartment, you know your career choice will be unique. Yes, this is what my life has come to. Ivonne has been plagued by the presence of a mysterious nocturnal resident that left several black, calling cards every evening on her kitchen counters. When she first discovered this offensive signature she fled across the street and purchased some heavy duty mice (wanna-be-rat) traps. She then (bless her heart) placed small wedges of cheese on them. It really was one of the cutest "city girl" moments I've seen. Another person falls for the stereotype of animated mice. Weeks went buy and the cheese went untouched, but every morning a new sprinkling of black pellets greeted her. So of course what would YOU do if you continued to find little poops across your counters? Drag your next door neighbor whose a vet student over to analyze it of course! And she'll come right on over because hey...she's a vet student. We sadly live for the diagnostic miracles of poop.
The little pellets were a few millimeters in length and capped with a tiny bit of white. A quick glance, and I proudly diagnosed her with a strong case of GECKOS. I won't go into the finer mechanisms of reptilian bowel movements, but in a nutshell, white dry stuff on poop in the animal kingdom=urine. White dry urine=birds or reptiles.
Is it strange that I'm proud of myself?

It's great to read of your adventures while we're back here - today in the midst of Halloween at CTS - in the PNW dreary rain.
Wanted to let you know we're doing candles again - so if you...or any others - are interested, just let me know! This year we'll be at the Artisan Fair but Rhonda did say if you had anything special you wanted to order, she'd do her best to fill them.

Hi Meg, I love to get your blogs (correct term?)..yes, many of us are estatic that Obama got elected. It will be a tough challenge for him but we couldn't ask for a better President.
Ari moved back in until she and Melanie go to Australia this winter. She also has a kitten and will be bringing Gracie back in a few weeks..can't wait to see how Charlie does this time.
Ken's on is moving in with us also. he's 21 and wants to be a chef (he thinks). So we will have a 'full house' soon.
Saw your parents in October..beautiful house..they seem to be doing great.
Ken and I just got back from Florida..fishing, kayaking in the everglades (lots of alligators, even some babies) and then down to the Keys for snorkeling, etc. Ken will be getting his diving certif. this winter as snorkeling is fun but not the same.
